Lately I have been making lots of collages. Here are some of them:

Update

Well, I just cut this one up into little pieces because it looked a little fragmented. It was painful but I think it will look better once I mount the pieces on wood and display them like a series, which is what this painting was meant to be! It looks very different now and I will take more pics soon.

My Studio

Here are some pieces I am currently working on. I will post the finished ones when they are done. This may be awhile, since graduate school doesn't leave much time for painting.

I have been working on this one for a few months. I am thinking of a few titles, but none have stuck. Some words/phrases that come to mind are "language of the spheres," "introspection," "alien plant life"... I'm not sure yet. Anyway, it has gone through many transformations and is now a completely different creature than when it was born. Maybe it should be called "metamorphosis." It is oil on canvas, 30" x 36"

This is a new piece; I began working on it about a month ago. It is 34" x 46". No title yet, either. After I painted that mandala shape on the bottom, I discovered that it is very similar to the sacred geometry shape Metatron's Cube. I had never heard of Metatron's Cube, but came across it while surfing the web. I thought, 'wow, that's the shape in my painting!' Maybe in certain states of mind, we have the ability to access the collective unconscious or whatever you want to call it, and sacred geometry shapes and archetypes will manifest in our art. It also kind of looks like a giant heart/artery system.

This is a small piece, 11" x 9". I think I will call it "aurora" because it looks like a polar landscape, but with an unearthly light shining on it. I began working on it a couple of months ago, and put it away for a while because I got stuck. I think I will get back to it soon.
